Anjelica M. Nelson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor–Supervisor (LPCC-S) and Independent Marriage and Family Therapist–Supervisor (IMFT-S) in Cleveland, Ohio. She is the founder of Rising Rose Relational Therapy, where she provides couples, family, and individual therapy by telehealth for clients anywhere in Ohio, and clinical training supervision for Ohio LPCs and MFTs.

Anjelica works with relationships: between partners, within families, and the ones a single person carries into every part of life. She founded and built Rising Rose Relational Therapy so her clients could have the care she believed was possible in a practice she built herself. Background

Anjelica holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Akron and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences at The Ohio State University. Her clinical experience since 2016 has included in-home therapy, community mental health counseling, and private practice work. She has been a therapist in Akron and Cleveland agencies and practices where she has grown into supervisory and director roles. Each position has uniquely assisted in building Anjelica’s repertoire, leading her to the inception of Rising Rose Relational Therapy.

Licenses and Publications

She holds two Ohio licenses, each with a training supervision designation: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor–Supervisor (LPCC-S) and Independent Marriage and Family Therapist–Supervisor (IMFT-S). She is a co-author of “Systemic Supervision,” published in Family Therapy Magazine.

Who she works with

Couples, families ages 10 and up, and individuals 18 and up. Anjelica is an LGBTQ-affirming therapist, and everyone is welcome. Beyond her professional life, Anjelica prioritizes her family and deeply cherishes being a mother. Some of her favorite things to do include trying new restaurants, getting to know another corner of Cleveland, rooting for her favorite Ohio teams, or getting lost in a good book.
