Family therapy by video, for families anywhere in Ohio
Family therapy at Rising Rose Relational Therapy looks at the system and all of its moving parts. You meet with Anjelica M. Nelson, M.Ed, LPCC-S, IMFT-S, an Ohio-licensed marriage and family therapist, by secure video from anywhere in Ohio. Family work is for families with children ages 10 and up, with a primary focus on improving the system as a whole.
Who it helps
- families with kids or teens ages 10 and up who keep landing in the same patterns;
- parents working through co-parenting;
- blended families and multigenerational households;
- adult children and parents who want to change how they talk to each other;
- LGBTQ+ families. Everyone is welcome.
What sessions look like
The work follows the same structured process: an assessment of who is in the room, what the pattern is, and what each person wants to change; a map of the family system; and skills the family can use at home.
Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes, by secure video through SimplePractice.
How starting works
- Free 15-minute fit call. A parent or guardian requests a time.
- Intake paperwork. If there's a fit, you receive informed consent, telehealth consent, and a Good Faith Estimate. A card is stored before session one.
- Family assessment. A first look at the system, the pattern, and what each person wants to change.
- Ongoing sessions. 50 or 80 minutes, with skills the family practices between sessions.
Fees and private pay
Family sessions use the couples / relational rate on the fees page: $190 for 50 minutes or $220 for 80 minutes. The 15-minute fit call is free.
Rising Rose is private pay and doesn't bill insurance. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and a superbill is available on request. Every client receives a Good Faith Estimate before the first session. Full details are on the fees page.
Anywhere in Ohio, by secure video
All sessions are online. There is no in-person office. Everyone in the session needs to be physically in Ohio, and location is confirmed at the start of each session.
What this is not
This practice is not a crisis service. If anyone is in danger, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
